Heidi Davis - 2012 Golden Opportunity Scholar

Heidi Davis

Heidi Davis is a student at the University of Missouri in the Division of Plant Sciences.  She is majoring in Plant Sciences with an emphasis in Crop Management and a minor in Soil Sciences. Heidi is a senior and will be graduating in May of 2013. She is currently an officer for the MU Agronomy Club and is actively involved with the Student Council of the College of Agriculture, Food, and Natural Resources.
She has interned with Monsanto in Technology Development for two consecutive years, conducting variety trials, field day events, and maintaining plots. Heidi also performed a research project focusing on evaluating populations of soybeans. While not in class, she works in the University of Missouri’s Crop Physiology Lab under the advisement of Dr. Felix Fritschi. 
Heidi is interested in pursuing a Master of Science degree focusing on chemical resistant crops and management strategies. Her goal is to become a field agronomist or precision agriculture technician for local farmers.
