Dustin Wilkerson is a senior at the University of Missouri, majoring in plant science with an emphasis in breeding, genetics, and biotechnology and a minor in agriculture economics. Dustin is an officer of the Mizzou Agronomy Club and CAFNR Student Council, and is a member of the 2014 Mizzou Homecoming Steering Committee.
He has gained experience with agriculture through internships with DuPont Pioneer, and MFA AgriServices while holding several assistantships at the University of Missouri. His experiences range from field scouting to lab work and include a summer of corn pollination and weed identification.
Dustin plans to attend graduate school in the field of plant breeding after graduation in May 2014. He hopes to one day become a successful plant breeder focusing on improving plant physiology in the agriculture industry or at an academic institution.
